Technical Differences Between RORO and Conventional Shipping

The RoRo shipping service has the advantage of zero damage to the body of the vehicle/items as there is no lifting of the goods involved. This service is ideal for commercial vehicles that are loaded, and long commercial vehicles that come in two parts, like a truck and a trailer. It is particularly ideal for large/ very large heavy and expensive construction machinery.

The disadvantage with the conventional shipping service (old method) is that the items/vehicles have to be lifted/raised either by a platform or with straps using a crane. The combination of the forces of the wind and the possible twisting of the cables during loading and unloading puts the item/vehicle at potential risk of damage.

With each of the shipping services the questions customers should consider are:
1. When will you get your item/vehicle?
2. What condition will  your item/vehicle arrive?
